  • Coach Embick, his coaching staff and Akron players past and present look to pass on their knowledge and love of the game to our younger campers, in a fun, safe and stimulating environment. Through a curriculum of technical exercises and games each day, campers will focus on their skill development and are encouraged to work at their own pace. The emphasis is always on fun and learning.


  • 2019 - To be announced
  • Boys ages 15 - 21
  • Position Academy Cost: $215 (includes lunch)
  • 1- day instructional camp targeting intense training at a player’s specific position on the soccer pitch.  The Academy is designed for elite level players looking for specific positional instruction on performing The Akron Way, and includes training sessions, film review, and both small sided and full sided games.


  • Week 1 – July 11 - 14, 2019
  • Boys ages 10 – 18
  • Residential Cost: $595
  • Commuter Cost: $500
  • 4-day, intense camp featuring the staff of The Akron Zips Men's Soccer program and team members, as well as selected top coaches from across the country.  The camp is designed for advanced player development and high level training from some of the nation's top coaches.


  • August 2 - 3 - 4, 2019
  • Ages - Boys ages 15 and up
  • Meals - Lunch and Dinner will be provided on Saturday only.
  • Housing - Housing is not provided for the Summer College Prep Camp, so campers will need to make their own housing arrangements if the are traveling from a distance.
  • Cost: $230 (includes Lunch and Dinner on Saturday, August 4th)
  • 2018 welcomes the first year of the Summer College Prep Camp, featuring the University of Akron Men's Soccer Staff.  The three-day event is designed for advanced player development, as well as extended exposure to our coaching staff.
  • The focus of the Summer College Prep Camp will center around using the game as a teacher, with a combination of 11 v 11 matches, as well as smaller sided games.  The game truly can be the greatest teacher, and bring out aspects for the advanced player that drills or individual training can not replicate.
  • Enrollment will be EXTREMELY limited, in order for each camper to receive better instruction from the Akron staff.
  • Players should plan on arriving to CubCadet Field Friday evening, all day on Saturday, and finishing on Sunday by noon.
  • The Summer College Prep Camp is open to boys aged 15 and up.  Field players and goalkeepers are all welcome, however both positions will be extremely limited due to the nature of the camp.  Due to the curriculum of the camp, activities are designed to challenge even the most advanced soccer players.  Players interested in camp should have the goal of being a Division I soccer player, or higher.
  • By NCAA rules, The Summer College Prep Camp is open to any and all participants, and is limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.

  • Cost: $295
  • This 3-day event is designed for advanced players looking to expose and develop their abilities under the exposure and influence of some of the nation’s top college coaches and recruiters


  • February 9 – 10, 2019
  • Boys and Girls ages 7 – 18  
  • GK Camp Cost: $230
  • This weekend camp is hosted by The University of Akron Men's Goalkeeping Coach Ger Coppinger. Whether this is your first season as a keeper or you are looking for the finishing touches before entering the college game, this two-day camp will deliver age and ability specific trainings on all aspects of this specialized position. Coach Coppinger will be assisted by current and former Zips Goalkeepers as well as other collegiate goalkeeper coaches.

    • January 21, 28, February 11, 18, 25, March 4
  • Boys and Girls ages 10 – 18  
  • Soccer School Cost: $215
  • Once a week, all Winter long, The University of Akron Men's coaching staff will give each soccer school student the technical and tactical information needed to be a difference maker on the field. Whether your are just getting started or are already a High School All-American, the Akron Soccer School can take your game to a whole new level! 

Camp Ball

  • Each camper must have a soccer ball at camp
  • Campers can bring their own ball or purchase a custom Akron Adidas soccer ball when registering online for $35. Balls will be available on the first day of camp for $40.
  • Please mark the appropriate box in the registration process for the correct size ball. 
  • Sizing requirements may vary slightly depending upon local association, but generally a size 3 is used for ages 8 and under, size 4 for ages 8 to 12, and a size 5 for ages 12 and up.


Those who cannot attend camp for medical or other reasons will be refunded all but a $50 administrative fee.  To receive a refund the camp office at least 72 hours before camp begins. Refunds are not issued for any soccer related injury and/or illness occurred during camp.
